Autumn Change

In this article:

Is January the only time for change and new beginnings?

With the change of the season from summer to fall, the leaves on the trees are often the first thing we think of. There are many other elements of change as we move into the colder months that often make a huge difference to our lives. Autumn has been called the reset, or wellness new year as with it comes with the residual energy from summer. Autumn sometimes feels like a time of hope and opportunity, the structure it brings after the freedom of summer. For me the return of a routine feels grounding after the untethered summer months.

What are some changes I can make in Autumn?

Adding in or taking something small from our routine during this time can have a huge impact on life as we move towards the end of the year. How about waking up to the natural sunrise, taking on a restorative yoga class and spending time in nature before the colours have faded? These are just some of the ideas shared with me in practice.

Progress and changes for my practice

As I move into the autumn, I have been taking a pause to appreciate the work I have done with clients this year. The growth, challenges and hopes held for the future. I will be adding a second location that I’ll practice from in the coming weeks, which fills me with a renewed energy and excitement to offer therapy in an alternative space and location. I will be booking sessions from a space in Margaret’s House in Roundhay, in addition to HealthWise Therapy Centre. The space reflects the contained and supportive nature of my style of practice, in a quiet and tranquil neighbourhood.

This change highlights for me the new beginnings and change that Autumn can offer us. I am excited for what it will bring for the rest of the year. If you would like to learn more about therapy at the good work, take a look at my home page for more information or get in touch below.
